On Tuesday, April 28, from 7:30 - 9:00 a.m. the Siouxland Red Cross will honor "everyday" heroes at the Sioux City Convention Center and tickets are still available.  The Siouxland Heroes event was created to recognize individuals who have gone above and beyond the call of duty to impact the lives of others, either through a commitment of service or by performing a lifesaving act.  The Siouxland Area Chapter of the American Red Cross is pleased to sponsor the event to honor local heroes.  The sixth annual event will feature Hero awards in several categories.  Proceeds from the event will support programs and services provided by the Siouxland Red Cross throughout thirteen counties in Iowa, South Dakota and Nebraska.

The American Red Cross Siouxland Area Chapter will be at the JC Penny’s entrance at Southern Hills Mall Saturday, March 14th from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.  This fun event is in honor of March is Red Cross month.
Want to get your photo taken with Scrubby Bear? The loveable and well-known hand-washing bear will be available for photos, autographs and hugs!  Scrubby Bear visits area schools to teach children the importance of clean hands.  His motto, “Don’t get sick, wash up quick!”
