The Siouxland Area Chapter of the American Red Cross offers a wide range of health and safety presentations for the community. Safety fundamentals, educational activities and wellness programs are available to meet your business, community group, or individual need. Because the American Red Cross wants to keep individuals and families safe and prepared, all presentations are FREE to the public.

Below are listings of popular community presentations available from the Siouxland Chapter. If your organization is interested in learning more about these presentations, or have any questions, please call the Chapter at 712-252-4081. Additionally, if you do not see your preferred topic, please call as there are additional programs available.

Red Cross in the Siouxland Community
This presentation describes the responsibilities and activities of the American Red Cross in Siouxland. Also included are ways the local Chapter is involved in the Community and the importance of being prepared.

Health & Safety Services
The purpose of this demonstration is to educate individuals about the lifesaving benefit of being prepared for an emergency. Whether it’s basic first aid, caring for a loved one or general information regarding AED (Automatic External Defibrillation) this presentation can be personalized to the interests and needs of your organization/group. *Please note that these presentations are not full classes and credit is not obtained.

Armed Forces Emergency Services (AFES)

This course provides information on how services such as emergency communications are handled by Red Cross workers. The presentation also outlines how these services actually began during the Civil War.


Disaster Services

This presentation details how the American Red Cross provides emergency services to disaster victims across the country. It includes the various types of disasters, how services are based and how caseworkers meet the needs of families face-to-face. It will also discuss how the Red Cross responds to an emergency in the local community.
