                            Siouxland Area Red Cross Celebrates 90 Years
On April 12, 2007 the Siouxland Area Red Cross will celebrate 90 years of providing lifesaving and emergency services by hosting an open house from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Following the open house, there will be a Sioux City Chamber After-House celebration from 4:30- 6:00 p.m. where a mortgage burning will be held to commemorate the final mortgage payment of the Siouxland Red Cross location, 4200 War Eagle Drive. The public is invited and encouraged to attend.

Over the past 90 years Siouxland Red Cross volunteers have been providing emergency services and disaster relief to those in need throughout Siouxland and across the country. To showcase this, the anniversary celebration will include a display of the chapter’s rich history highlighting the growth and development of the Siouxland Red Cross decade by decade.

The American Red Cross is a national organization committed to preventing, preparing for, and responding to emergencies. Supported locally by over 300 volunteers, the Siouxland Chapter is ready to meet the needs of Siouxland Area and beyond
